About Us

Mission Statement

Clinton Veterinary Services strives to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care to our patients while providing our clients with superior service, education and assistance in all aspects of animal care and ownership, including public health awareness.  We aim to treat our patients as though they were our own pets, and to treat our clients as though they were our own families; while never losing sight of our patients and clients’ ever changing needs.

Top Core Values

• To demonstrate our love for animals by providing compassionate, high-quality health care to our patients, while respecting the needs of their owners.

• To communicate relevant and objective options, while respecting the decisions of our clients, so that we are able to help them provide their pets with the best health care possible.

• To share all of the joys of pet ownership with our clients while providing them with reassurance and empathy during more difficult times.

• To educate our clients so that they can be responsible and knowledgeable pet owners.

• To provide a safe and enjoyable environment for clients, patients and for our entire professional team.

• To be transparent and accountable in decision making and business ethics.

• To be unwavering in our professional manner with respect to our patients, clients, business associates and professional colleagues.

• To allow opportunities for collaboration and continual improvement by learning, sharing, and growing both as individuals and as a team.

• To practice the highest standards of pet care as representatives of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario

Clinton Veterinary Services has been serving the Clinton area for almost thirty years.  It was established by Dr. Brian Nuhn as a practice attending to the needs of both farm livestock and household pets.  Drs. Peter and Robin Wiley worked with Dr. Nuhn, and eventually purchased the practice in 1992.  The practice was moved from the south end of Clinton to its’ current, larger location in 1996, and has been exclusively devoted to companion animals since 2004.  Dr. Sophie Farrell purchased the practice from the Wileys in 2011 after working with them for several years and falling in love with Huron County, its’ people and the country lifestyle.

Continuing Education

We recognize the importance of providing our patients and clients with the best possible information and care.  As new advances are made every year in veterinary medicine, our staff members place a high priority on continually expanding their skills, experience, and knowledge base by attending conferences, workshops, and courses, so that we may serve you better.

Giving Back

We are a proud part of our community and strongly believe in doing our part to make it a better place for everyone.  Besides making contributions to several worthy causes such as the local hospital; Womans Shelter; OSPCA; Bantam Hockey Tournament; Ovarian Cancer Society; and Bluewater Kennel Club; we also run a Christmas fundraiser to collect funds for local animal rescue groups as well as a food drive to collect both pet food and human food for the Salvation Army.  We have given tours of the practice to school classes and children’s groups, and take on volunteers with an interest in veterinary medicine so that they may acquire some experience in the field.
