About Us

We are passionate about your pets health!

At Clinton Veterinary Services, we’re all about keeping your pets healthy and happy!  We provide top-notch comprehensive care, from routine check-ups to surgery to urgent care and emergencies.  We also believe in empowering you with knowledge, so we’ll work with you to understand your pet’s needs and help you provide them with the best care possible.

History

Clinton Veterinary Services has been serving the serving the communities of Clinton, Goderich, Bayfield, Blyth, Seaforth and surrounding areas for almost 40 years.  The practice was originally started by Dr. Brian Nuhn who cared for both farm animals and family pets.  He was later joined by Drs. Peter and Robin Wiley, and in 1992, they took over the practice. In 1996, they moved the clinic to its current, larger location, and, since 2004, the practice has focused exclusively on treating family pets. Dr. Sophie Farrell joined the practice in 2009 and bought the practice from the Wileys in 2011 after falling in love with Huron County, its’ people and their pets.

Continuing Education

We recognize the importance of providing our patients and clients with the best possible information and care.  As new advances are made every year in veterinary medicine, our staff members place a high priority on continually expanding their skills, experience, and knowledge base by attending conferences, workshops, and courses, so that we may serve you better.

Giving Back

We are proud members of our community and strongly believe in giving back to the community in which we live and work through a range of fundraising initiatives supporting local organizations and groups.  Besides making regular contributions to several worthy causes such as the Clinton Public Hospital, Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Clinton & District, Huron County Food Bank (supplies for both both pets and humans), and the Womans’ Shelter;  we also hold various fundraisers throughout each year to collect funds for the Farley Foundation*.

Clinton Veterinary Services is proud to provide opportunities for students with an interest in veterinary medicine to aquire some experience in the field by participating in clinic tours, job shadowing and co-op placements.

*Established by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) in 2001, the Farley Foundation assists people in need by subsidizing the cost of necessary (non-elective) veterinary care for the pets that mean the world to them. The Foundation relies on donations to be able to provide funding to people and pets in need. https://www.farleyfoundation.org/
