About Us

We are passionate about your pets health!

Clinton Veterinary Services strives to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care to our patients while providing our clients with superior service, education and assistance in all aspects of animal care and ownership, including public health awareness.  We aim to treat our patients as though they were our own pets, and to treat our clients as though they were our own families; while never losing sight of our patients and clients’ ever changing needs.

History

Clinton Veterinary Services has been serving the Clinton area for almost thirty years.  It was established by Dr. Brian Nuhn as a practice attending to the needs of both farm livestock and household pets.  Drs’ Peter and Robin Wiley worked with Dr. Nuhn, and eventually purchased the practice in 1992.  The practice was moved from the south end of Clinton to its’ current, larger location in 1996, and has been exclusively devoted to companion animals since 2004.  Dr. Sophie Farrell purchased the practice from the Wileys in 2011 after working with them for several years and falling in love with Huron County, its’ people and the country lifestyle.

Continuing Education

We recognize the importance of providing our patients and clients with the best possible information and care.  As new advances are made every year in veterinary medicine, our staff members place a high priority on continually expanding their skills, experience, and knowledge base by attending conferences, workshops, and courses, so that we may serve you better.

Giving Back

We are proud members of our community and strongly believe in giving back to the community in which we live and work through a range of fundraising initiatives supporting local organizations and groups.  Besides making regular contributions to several worthy causes such as the Clinton Public Hospital, Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Clinton & District, Huron County Food Bank (supplies for both both pets and humans), and the Womans’ Shelter;  we also hold various fundraisers throughout each year to collect funds for the Farley Foundation*.

Clinton Veterinary Services is proud to provide opportunities for students with an interest in veterinary medicine to aquire some experience in the field by participating in clinic tours, job shadowing and co-op placements.

*Established by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) in 2001, the Farley Foundation assists people in need by subsidizing the cost of necessary (non-elective) veterinary care for the pets that mean the world to them. The Foundation relies on donations to be able to provide funding to people and pets in need. https://www.farleyfoundation.org/
